The Student Ministry at First Baptist Killen exists to serve the families of students in grades 7-12 through Teaching, Events, Retreats, and Ministry Opportunities. Parents have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to diligently teach their children the Word of God in the home. God has called parents with the awesome task of raising teenagers to become both Disciples and Disciple-Makers. However, we find ourselves surrounded by a culture that will quickly tear down these efforts if we are not resolved to help students fully know what it means to become devoted followers of Christ.

God's Word is central to the Student Ministry at First Baptist Killen. We have incorporated a teaching strategy that allows students to study the entire Bible over a six year period. Because teaching must begin in the home, we offer a weekly Parent Page family devotional that corresponds with the scripture and lessons from Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible Study.

Sunday School - Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Center
We have gender and age graded Sunday School classes for all students grades 7-12. Students will study the Bible in small groups, and make practical application, and develop meaningful relationships within their class.
Wednesday Night - Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Student Center
On Wednesday nights students come together in one large group for an exciting time of worship and Bible Study. We reinforce the scriptures and discussions from Sunday School through music, activities, multimedia, and Bible teaching.
