At First Baptist Killen, we desire to help college-aged young adults in the Shoals area meet Jesus, grow in Christlikeness, and navigate the unique joys and challenges of life in this season. This ministry is for anyone aged 18 to 22 whether in college, trade-school, working, or taking a gap year. To learn more about our college ministry, contact our Students and Discipleship Pastor, Shaphan Helms.

Community group

All college students are invited to a small group on Tuesday nights at 8:30 PM at the home of Shaphan and Elizabeth Helms. This small group alternates between studying a book of the Bible and reading through other books helpful for Christian faithfulness.

Sunday School

The college-aged Sunday School class meets at 9:00 AM in the college room located on the far west end of the building facing J.C. Mauldin Highway. This class is led by Jamieson and Whitney Wilcoxson.

Special Events and Serving at FBK

FBK College hosts events throughout the year such as a Summer Taco Tour and Home for the Holidays Christmas Party. Our college students also have the opportunity to serve by volunteering in other ministry areas on Sundays, Wednesdays, and for special events such as FBK’s Equip Winter Conference for Students.
